Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using FamilyHub (“the Service”), operated by HMT Group (“we,” “us,” or “our”) at https://familycommander.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

FamilyHub is a private family management platform that helps families coordinate calendars, chores, meals, finances, and household communications. Features include shared calendars, task management, meal planning, a finance learning module, chat, and household rules management.

The Service is currently in private beta and access is by invitation only. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time.

3. Accounts and Registration

To use FamilyHub you must create an account using our authentication provider (Clerk). You may sign in using Google or email/password. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. Child profiles within a family account are managed by a parent or guardian who assumes responsibility for their use of the Service.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service or its infrastructure
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service
• Transmit any harmful, offensive, or disruptive content through the Service
• Use the Service to harass, abuse, or harm other users
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service

5. Google API Services

FamilyHub integrates with Google Calendar and Google Photos APIs to provide calendar synchronization and photo features. By connecting your Google account you authorize FamilyHub to access the specific Google services you enable. Our use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

You may disconnect your Google account at any time from Settings. Upon disconnection we will stop accessing your Google data and will not retain data obtained via Google APIs beyond what is needed to provide the Service.

6. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of HMT Group. You retain ownership of any content you submit to the Service (family data, photos, notes, etc.) and grant us a limited license to store and display it solely to provide the Service to your family.

7. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is otherwise harmful to the Service, other users, or third parties. You may close your account at any time by contacting us at support@familycommander.com.

9. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR COMPLETELY SECURE.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, HMT GROUP SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes by updating the effective date above and, where appropriate, by sending a notification through the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
